Before Fame
His mother bought him his first guitar when he was sixteen, and he used it to play with The Quarrymen, a skiffle/rock group that would eventually evolve into The Beatles.

He was married to Cynthia Lennon from 1962 until 1968. He then married Yoko Ono on March 20, 1969 up until his death in 1980. He had two children named Sean and Julian.
