Flagship school of the Long Beach Unified School District with magnet programs called The PACE (Program of Additional Curricular Experiences) and the CIC (Center of International Curriculum) which boasted more University of California admissions than any other high school in California.
Trivia
Sports Illustrated called it the "Sports School of the Century" in 2005. The school has earned numerous prizes, including six Grammy Awards.
