A landlocked country in East Africa, bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania. It is in the African Great Lakes region. It is named after the Buganda kingdom.
The capital's nickname is City of Seven Hills. Lake Victoria is the largest lake in the country. The highest peak is Margherita Peak of Mount Stanley in the Ruwenzori Mountains.
