A country on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It borders with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen. It is the oldest continuously independent state in the Arab world.
The Arabian Oryx is the country's national animal. It has four UNESCO World Heritage sites including Bahla Fort. Frankincense trees grow naturally there.
