About
The largest country in Central America, bordered by Honduras and Costa Rica. The Caribbean is to the east and and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The country has undergone periods of political unrest including the Nicaraguan Revolution and the Contra War.
Trivia
It is home to many volcanoes, lakes and colonial towns. Baseball is a national sport. Nicaraguans eat Gallo pinto almost every day, a dish of rice mixed with red beans.
