About
A country in West Africa that borders Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo. It is the second-most populous country in West Africa, after Nigeria. In the late 1400s, Portuguese settler colonialists arrived and began trading in gold, ivory and timber.
Trivia
English is the national language, with other common languages including Twi dialects Asante, Akwapin, and Fante. There is only one natural lake in Ghana - Lake Bosumtwe. A popular dish is jollof rice - a one-pot rice meal that includes a variety of Ghanaian spices with tomatoes and chilli.
