A country in southeastern Europe often known informally as Bosnia. It borders Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. The country was formerly annexed into the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and then part of Yugoslavia.
The country has been nicknamed the Heart Shaped Land. The 16th century Stari Most bridge in Mostar is one of the country’s most famous landmarks. The Bosanski Lonac is a vegetable stew that is considered the national dish.
