Arkansas is the 34th most populous state in the United States. It is a landlocked state located in the American South. Arkansas official state mammal is the White-tailed deer. The state's land was part of the historical French Louisiana territory and was acquired through the Louisiana Purchase. The state's largest metro area is that of Little Rock.
The state's official food is the pecan. Arkansas is home to the Walmart corporation. Former President Bill Clinton served as the state's governor. The state flag has 25 stars on it to symbolize Arkansas becoming the 25th state.
