Quarterbacks have been the most frequent recipients of the award over the years. Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr won the award after each of the first two Super Bowls. Legendary quarterback Tom Brady set a record by winning his fifth Super Bowl MVP award during Super Bowl LV in 2021.
